Discontent (Beatriz Serrano)

I love literary fiction that’s funny. It’s so hard to do, and this small but mighty debut (still excellent in translation) manages to be both poignant and, at times, hilarious. An exploration of the drudgery of office life in the Internet age, of the true cost of faking it until you make it. I’m usually excellent at predicting where a book is going, and I didn’t see the end coming.
